Terms
The short, plain version. If anything here is unclear, ask before you book.
Last updated 25 August 2026. These terms apply to services booked from TanTastic Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, México.
What you are booking
A privately designed and hosted day, a multi-day route, or a written trip plan, as described on this site. Prices are in US dollars. One group is taken per day, and your booking holds that whole day.
Booking and payment
A deposit confirms your date. The balance is due on or before the day. Your date is not held until the deposit is received.
Changes and cancellation
Tell us as early as you can. Where a free date exists we will move your booking rather than keep your deposit. Cancellations more than fourteen days out are refunded in full less any unrecoverable third-party costs. Inside fourteen days the deposit is retained, because the day is no longer sellable.
If Tan has to cancel, for illness or anything else, you are refunded in full or moved to another date, whichever you prefer.
Weather
Rain is not a cancellation. The day gets rebuilt around it, which is the advantage of not being on a bus. Hurricanes and official closures are treated as a Tan cancellation and refunded in full.
Safety and your own responsibility
Cenotes, boats and the sea carry risk. You are responsible for telling us about medical conditions, mobility needs and whether everyone in your group can swim, before the day. You are responsible for your own travel insurance. Tan may change or stop an activity where it is not safe to continue.
Group size and children
Six guests maximum. Children are welcome and the day gets built around their pace. An adult is responsible for each child at all times.
Photographs and film
Photographs and video from your day are delivered to you and are yours to keep, print and post. TanTastic retains the right to be credited as the photographer. We will not publish images of you without asking you first.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of México.
