It’s me. I’m the whole company.
I grew up in Mexico and I’ve lived in Playa del Carmen for more than ten years. Long enough to stop going where the signs point.
Before this, I was the friend people called when they were coming to visit. I’d meet them, drive them, feed them, and take the photos. At some point I noticed I was doing a job, so I gave it a name.
There is no team. No van. No office. When you book a day, the person who answers your message, plans the route, drives the car, orders the food and edits your film is the same person. That is the whole idea, and it is also why I only take one group a day.
“Is it safe to spend a day in a car with a stranger in Mexico?”
It is a fair question and I would rather answer it than have you wonder.
I am a Mexican woman who has lived here more than ten years. Before you arrive you will have my full name, my phone number and my face on video. You can message me on WhatsApp for weeks before the trip and you will get me, not an inbox.
On the day: my car, my licence, my insurance. I tell you where we are going and roughly when we will be back. If you want to send that to someone at home, please do. I would.
If you are travelling alone, say so when you write. It changes nothing about the price and a few things about how I plan the day.
The no is what makes the yes worth it.
Groups over six
At seven people I am running a tour, and a tour is the thing I built this to avoid. Six is the ceiling and I do not bend it.
Cruise ship day trips
A four hour window is not a designed day. You would spend most of it in my car watching a clock.
The cheapest option
If the first question is what is the cheapest, we are not a fit, and I would rather say so now than disappoint you later.
Timeshare stops, gift shops, commissions
