Before you ask.
Why not just book on Viator for $89?
You can, and sometimes you should. That is a bus, a schedule and forty other people. This is a day that does not exist until you and I build it, and you get the photos and the video, which on the bus costs extra and comes from a stranger.
$495 feels like a lot for one day.
It is $247 each. A vacation photographer here charges $590 for one hour, and she does not plan your day, drive you, feed you, or know which cenote is empty on a Tuesday. You are paying for one thing. I am three.
What if it rains?
Then we change the day. That is the advantage of not being on a bus. Rain in the Yucatán usually lasts an hour and I know where to be for that hour.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. I will do the talking. You will leave knowing a few words that matter.
Can you do this with kids, or with my parents?
Yes, and the day gets designed around their pace. Tell me ages when you write.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. One group a day means the good dates go first, especially December through March.
